It’s fair to say that financial independence is a goal for many, and in recent years there has been a plethora of information in the media and a whole movement spawned and titled FIRE (financial independence retire early). Whatever people’s reasons for aspiring to financial independence it is certainly true that it helps with another philosophy of life ‘choice’. Having greater financial freedom means you are able to make choices that otherwise you wouldn’t be able to; to spend more time with your family, to spend more time pursuing a hobby or interest, or even taking a different role that is more attractive but pays less.
Crystallise Potential (this concept and those that follow) has a mission statement to ‘nurture a passion for wellness and betterment’, and a motto ‘don’t survive, thrive’. Financial independence or helping people understand the logic, thinking and tools behind it is one way to help people on that journey. In doing so we’ll look at both sides of the coin, positives and negatives and what is needed to make a positive change in your life.
